SOLD - 1943 K98 Bayonet With Matching Scabbard (LG042325-13(Arizona))

Description

4/24/25 - This is an original 1943-dated K98 bayonet, marked "43asw" on the ricasso with serial “0430ss”. The blade shows typical scabbard wear, consistent with service use, but remains in overall good condition with its original edge. The wood grips are in nice shape, showing no cracks or chips. The pommel retains most of its original finish, with some mild oxidation present. Both sides are stamped with Waffenamt 519 inspector marks. The scabbard is date and maker matched ("43asw") and appears to be serial matching. The last digit (“0”) is lightly stamped, but the serial appears to be “0430ss”, consistent with the bayonet. The scabbard shows a light, even patina, with no dents or major flaws.
