M42 Single Decal Army Helmet

7/17/25 - The following is an excellent example of a German M42 helmet. The exterior of the helmet is very clean with most of its original factory paint intact, as well as the German army decal on the left side of the helmet that is slightly worn and chipped but still clearly visible. There are minor scratches and areas of paint transfer on the dome and around the crown of the helmet, but is free of any oxidization or rust. All three split pins are also intact with the paint chipped on all three. The metal on the interior of the helmet is also very clean and free from oxidization or patina. Significant portions of the factory paint appears to have been chipped but but it is still clean. The steel band and liner are both intact as well. The leather liner is very brittle and firm and show evidence of heavy daily use with some surface cracking around the band. The chinstrap is also intact and is likewise brittle.
