SOLD - Mauser C96 Commercial Broomhandle - Matching Stock

12/11/17 - This is a nice pre-war Mauser C96 Broomhandle rig, produced for the commercial market prior to WWI. It is all original and correct, with matching grips and about 85% blue remaining.  The wear is generally found on the high edges, straps and barrel, likely from being in the stock.  The stock is original and numbered to the pistol, and is in decent condition but does show two thin cracks that a previous owner attempted to repair.  The leather on the stock is original and in good condition, with no tears.  The pistol shows proper features for a pre-war commercial, such as 7.63mm, 50-1000 meter tangent sight, hole through safety knob, small ring hammer, 6 groove rifling in the bore, and serial in proper range.  This serial dates to a 1905 manufacture date, and the left side frame is proofed VON LENGERKE & DETMOLD, NEW-YORK.  This is likely a retailer the pistol was sold for/by, and not the same as an import mark.  The bore shows minor frost and freckling but is pretty good overall, and would fire just fine.
