9/17/21 - This is a minty Smith & Wesson Model 39-2 in an original S&W box. It has 99% of the original blue remaining with just a hint of high edge wear, likely from shifting in the box. Mint bore and grips. Comes with the original S&W manual, cleaning tools and a spare magazine. Serial dates it to the late 1970s. The Smith & Wesson Model 39 is a semi-automatic pistol developed for the United States Army service pistol trials of 1954. After the Army abandoned its search for a new pistol, the Model 39 went on the civilian market in 1955 and was the first of Smith & Wesson's first generation semi-automatic pistols.
