Description

9/21/20 - This is a very nice example of a Nambu Type 14 Rig issued to the Japanese military in March of 1944. The rig comes with an original leather holster and one original matching magazine. The gun is completely matching, including the grips. The rough military finish on this pistol makes it a little difficult to rate, but our best estimate is that it has retained around 93-94% of its original bluing. Most of the finish loss is on the straps, where there are also a few small areas of minor pitting. There is minor thinning on both sides of the slide around the cocking knob. The grips are matching and very nice, but there are very light streaks running diagonally on both grips - could be just part of the wood grain. The leather holster is excellent and soft - just a few very minor handling marks here and there. The bore is minty.
