Description

5/25/18 - This is an excellent and nearly all matching example of a Mauser made K98.  The stock has been sanded and then shellacked, otherwise the gun is all original finish - at about 90% and with all matching parts except for the floor plate.   In 1940 they were still using a nice high polish finish and numbering all of the parts including some of the screws, and the butt plate.   The stock under the handguard is also matching to the gun.  The gun is missing the cleaning rod and the site hood.   No import marks.  Mechanically in excellent condition.
