09/08/26 - For sale is a Robbins & Lawrence Model 1841 Mississippi rifle made in 1850. The rifle is in excellent condition for its age. The lock plate and hammer retain an aged case colored finish. The barrel has turned dark grey/brown with patina and tarnish. The brass appears to have been lightly cleaned. The stock is in great shape with light surface dents. The bore is fairly dark, but rifling is visible. The action functions properly.
Note: We believe the barrel is not original to this rifle and the "JCB" inspection stamp and "N.H." stamp are suspected to be inscribed/etched and not stamped like the original. There is also a lack of "US" along with it. The barrel is also believed to be re-browned.
