Description

9/18/25 - This is a rare example of a Colt Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1940. It has a rare "CSR" inspection stamp on the frame - less than 5,000 of this variation made. It is all correct. The slide is numbered and matching, and the barrel is a correct Colt barrel with a small "G" under the lug. Comes with an incorrect commercial magazine. The gun has retained about 94-95% of its original earlier blued finish. The majority of the wear is concentrated around the high edges, but there are some small handling marks and tiny dots of discoloration here and there. Fitted with correct wood grips. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
