8/18/23 - This is a rare Winchester Model 23 Golden Quail, one of 500 produced in 28ga. It's in near-mint condition, with very little sign of use. Minty bore but does need a light cleaning. The listing includes the original Winchester case, as well as the original shipping box. 25.5in barrels. The left side of the left barrel is marked ‚ÄúWINCHESTER Golden Quail ‚Äì 28 GA ‚Äì 2 3/4‚Ä? ‚Äì 70mm / EAST ALTON IL. U.S.A.‚Äù, the right of the right barrel is marked ‚ÄúMADE IN JAPAN‚Äù and the top of the rib is marked ‚ÄúGolden Quail‚Äù. The stocks are two-piece checkered select walnut with a beavertail forend, straight grip, straight comb, orange rubber Winchester buttpad. Engraved coin-finished receiver and beautiful walnut stocks paired with a mechanical single trigger and selective ejectors.
