Description
12/20/24 - For sale is a FAL built by Arizona Response Systems using a Chilean parts kit. The furniture also has Nicaraguan Sandinista markings. The lower receiver is made by Imbel. The rifle is in excellent condition as this gun was deliberately given a "distressed" finish as to appear battle used. The handguard has some letters scratched into it. The left side of the buttstock also had letters scratched but faded away from being sanded.
The right side of the buttstock is stamped with "FSLN 3Z M". Mark from Arizona Response Systems believes the "FSLN" is the acronym for the "Sandinistan Liberation Front of Nicaragua, which was a leftist group that overthrew the Somoza Regime in Nicaragua. Chile at the time was under the leftist president Allende and Chile supported the Sandinistas from '71 to '73. I suspect this rifle was part of an aid package." He also said it could be a soldier's name but it's speculation.
ARS had added the Chilean Crest and "Ejercito de Chile" on the receiver. The bore is bright with great rifling but there is a slight frosting to the lands. The rifle comes with one 20 round magazines that is well worn with browsing of patina.
