Description
3/17/25 - This is an nice example of a rare transitional Colt 1911 that was manufactured in 1924. Fewer than 10,000 Colt 1911s were made that year, and they are known to have transitional features from the 1911 to the 1911A1. This one is all original with a intertwined "HP" marked Colt barrel. The bore has a hint of brightness but is worn with micropitting visible throughout the rifling. The finish on the slide and frame has notable wear and freckling of old oxidation throughout the finish. The slide has edge wear, especially around the muzzle, from holster use. The grip panels are in good condition but are well worn. The pistol comes with a worn two-tone magazine. The bluing is replaced with patina and there are spots of oxidation around the edges.Specifications
