SOLD - Rare, Documented Officer's Model Colt 1903

4/3/23 - This is a minty example of a rare and documented military Colt Model 1903, one of about 9,000 issued to the U.S. Military. The pistol is matching and original with 98-99% of the parkerized finish remaining. Minor high edge wear on the slide with a minty bore. Excellent grips with only very light handling wear. Original magazine, marked 'CAL .32 COLT' on the base. The listing includes the original certificate of ownership of this pistol, noted by serial, to then Brigadier General Thomas H. Scott, Jr but he would go on to be promoted to Major General. It even includes the original paperwork from U.S. Army Weapons Command on the date it was supplied to Scott as he was promoted to general officer, May 7th, 1965. General Scott served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam, and was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal twice, three awards of the Legion of Merit, two Air Medals and the Army Commendation Ribbon.
