Description

4/6/18 - This is a rare Walther P.38 with 480 code on slide and frame.  It is all matching and original with ~80% blue remaining.  There is visible surface pitting on the slide, mainly the left side, and a thin front strap.  The grips are numbered to the pistol, and the magazine is an unnumbered Walther mag.   There were only about 7,000 of this variation produced with 480 code on the trigger guard, making it one of the rarest P.38 variations.  This particular pistol was one of the earliest made, with serial 411.  The bore has similar corrosion to the left side slide.
