Description
4/27/23 - This is a very nice example of a Model 1917 used by the Canadian Armed forces during WW1 to WW2. These rifles were generally used within Canada for duties like logistics drivers or prison guards. The stock is in excellent condition for its age. The rifle is matching on the receiver, bolt, and stock. The stock is stamped with Crisp ÄúC (Broad Arrow)" and Canadian military unit mark on the right side. On the toe it is stamped Äú224Äù repeatedly and also has the rifleÄôs serial number in front of the rear sling loop. The receiver is marked with ÄúWinchester Model of 1917Äù and the US Flaming bomb mark. The barrel has the date Äú10-18Äù and the flaming bomb stamped on it. The rifle shows finish loss on the floorplate, and more on the front band and barrel. The rifle also comes with a Turner Saddlery Sling. Rifle is import marked under the barrel. Bore shows minor signs of use but is generally shiny with strong rifling.Specifications
