Description

4/8/25 - For sale is a scarce, transferable Brazilian Contract Hotchkiss 1914 Portative chambered in 7x57 Mauser. The gun retains a bulk of its original bluing but is beginning to fade. There's some discoloration on the exterior of the trigger housing. There is a welding repair visible on the lower tang behind the trigger. The right side of the receiver is stamped with the Brazilian Crest. The left side is stamped with the Hotchkiss Manufacturing information. The bore is very bright with strong rifling. The stock is a reproduction and is in excellent condition. The rear support stand is absent. The machine gun has mostly matching numbers (including the internals), except the dust cover flap for the tray infeed is mismatched. The matching pistol grip is included as well as one leg of the bipod. 20 Hotchkiss feeding trays are included.
