11/23/24 - For sale is a scarce Type 38 Carbine made at the Chinese arsenal of Mukden in Manchuko under Japanese control. The carbine is well worn but the metal retains the bulk of its bluing. The stock is in a similar worn condition with plenty of wear marks and pressure marks. There is a crack to the left of the tang at the wrist. There is also a roughly 2-inch split coming from the back of the trigger guard on each side of the stock. There is a crack coming from the buttplate on both sides of the buttstock. The bore still has some brightness to it but is faded at the muzzle. The carbine has matching numbers on the receiver and bayonet lug. The bolt has a matching number but looks to be force matched after it left he arsenal. The safety lug is also mismatched. Carbines from Mukden are unique with a "peep" rear sight instead of the standard V notch.
