Description

1/30/19 - This is a scarce Walther P.38, marked ac 40 on slide, one of only ~12,000 produced. This is a lower production total than early zero series Walthers or first-year production Mauser byf 42's. The original finish on this one rates at about 80%, with the majority of thinning on the front strap and the right side of the slide. The pistol is all matching aside from the magazine, which is numbered to a different pistol but just a few hundred digits off and in the proper serial block. The grips are waffen proofed and matching numbered to the gun. Excellent bore. De-cocker is functioning properly.
