Description

5/8/26- For sale is a very nice M1905 bayonet from the first year of production with a very early pattern leather scabbard. The blade was originally blued and there is a small strip of bluing remaining at the base of the blade while the rest of the blade appears to have been buffed or polished. There are light spots of patina on the metal. The blade is stamped "SA 1906" on one side along with the flaming bomb emblem, and the other side is stamped "US 151191". The wooden grips are intact with no damage or cracking. The very early pattern leather scabbard is intact with light wear and no serious damage. The back of the scabbard is stamped "RIA 1907 TC" and the belt hook is stamped "Rock Island Arsenal 1909 HEK". Overall in excellent condition and a great example of an early production M1905 bayonet!
