Description
5/8/26- For sale is a nice M1905 bayonet made in the first year of standardized mass production. The bayonet was officially approved in 1905 but production did not start until 1906. The blade is darkened with a mixture of original bluing and patina with several small blade chips but no signs of major damage or rust. One side of the blade is stamped "SA 1906" along with the flaming bomb emblem and the other side of the blade is stamped "US 153389". The wooden grips are intact with no cracking or chipping. The scabbard is the WWI era pattern with a leather body and canvas exterior sleeve. There is writing on the scabbard exterior but the only clearly readable part is the name "R.S. Carr". Overall in excellent condition.
