Description

04/21/26 - For sale is a Swiss Gewehr 1889/96 Schmidt Rubin that was converted to .22LR as a training rifle. The rifle retains the full function and handling of the full size rifle. The metal has a worn bluing with the finish fading to a greyish-brown. The stock is clean with no cracks or breaks to note. A Pistol grip was added when it was converted to a 1889/96. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The magazine follower was removed to catch spent brass and the rear sight was replaced for the .22 Cartridge. The rifle comes with a bass muzzle cover.
