Description

3/23/22 - This is a very nice example of an original Springfield Armory M1899 carbine from 1907. Excellent bluing overall on the metal parts, with most of the wear on the magazine but some oxidation throughout. The sight is marked with a 'C' for carbine, and the yardage increments are different for the carbines. The stock has a sharp military inspectors cartouche with 1907 manufacture date. Minor but standard handling wear on the stock, with a thin surface crack along the top of the handguard. Bore is shiny with good rifling but does have some frost throughout.
