Description
10/20/26 - For sale is a Springfield Model 1903 chambered in .30-06 and made in 1915. The receiver has an aged blued finish, while the rest of the rifle has a phosphate finish. The metal shows numerous freckles and dotting of oxidation, and some of the parts have worn to a brownish grey. The barrel is a post-war replacement marked SA 4-32. The receiver has been drilled and tapped for a Lyman peep sight on the rear sight side. The stock is a scant stock as used on the 1903A3. It has no cracks or breaks and is in good condition overall. There are numbers stamped on the comb that do not correlate with the serial number. The bore is bright with good rifling, but the surface is frosting over. It comes with a Model 1905 sling dated 1918.
