Description
10/6/26 - This is a super rare 1936 Mauser Banner Luger that was part of a small contract order for the Thai police. It was reported that only 150 were ordered, and roughly 35 are known to remain today. The gun is all matching, with Thai characters at the back of the frame, and it carries the proper "double crown U" proofs. There is an import mark just above the trigger guard. It comes with one matching numbered magazine. The finish rates about 85%, with most of the actual finish loss on the front strap and around the high edges. While there isn't a ton of actual finish loss, there are areas of noticeable brown patina and pin-pricking, mostly on the grip straps and the entire left side of the gun, along with a couple of deep pits on the front strap. There is also some heavy pitting on the frame under the grip panels. The left grip panel is numbered and matching, while the right side is unnumbered. Both grips show honest wear and rounding. The bore has good rifling with light frosting throughout. A rare chance to own one of the few surviving Thai contract Lugers.
