Description
12/11/21 - This is an original WW1 era 1903 Springfield Bayonet that was later "bowie" cut by "AFH" and issued during WW2 for the M1 Garand. The grip edge shows the "AFH" mark for American Fork and Hoe. "RIA" maker stamped and flaming bomb stamp. There is also a 1913 date stamp. The reverse side of the blade is U.S. stamped with a serial number "241430". The bayonet comes with a rare "Wilde Tool" WW2 scabbard. The scabbard is U.S. stamped with a flaming bomb, along with the "lazy S" logo for Wilde Tool. The scabbard is in good condition with paint loss, but is completely in tact. The blade is in original condition with several chips in the edge, but no evidence of sharpening. The black handle is in great shape and original as well. The blade is loose with in the scabbard and does not fully engage the locking mechanism.Specifications
