05/28/26 - For sale is a Swedish M38 Mauser short rifle chambered in 6.5x55 made by Husqvarna in 1943. The rifle was updated to the (b) specification, and muzzle threads were added for the blank fire attachment. The metal has a rearsenaled deep, almost black bluing. There are light areas of wear, but it is in excellent condition overall. The stock shows light handling wear and looks to have been sanded during refurbishment. There is a 3/4" crack behind the tang. The bore is bright with good rifling. The rifle has matching numbers on the receiver, bolt, bolt sleeve, cocking piece, and rear sight ladder. The rear sight slider is mismatched, as they regularly are. The rifle comes with a Model 1896 bayonet in excellent condition.
