Description
11/3/26 - Offered here is a US M1 helmet with its liner and a camouflage net. The M1 was the standard US helmet from WWII through the Vietnam era, made as a two-piece set with a steel shell and a separate liner. Camouflage netting like this was fitted over the shell in the field to break up its outline and hold foliage. The shell retains its olive drab paint and both web chinstraps, one with its buckle and the other with its hook. The liner retains its olive drab finish and suspension webbing. The condition is good overall. The net is intact over the shell but shows age toning and rust-colored staining throughout. The paint visible on the shell shows honest wear and scuffing. The web chinstraps show wear and staining, with some light rust on the hardware. The liner finish is mostly intact, with light scuffing and a few small spots of wear. The suspension webbing is intact.
