Description
7/3/21 - This is an excellent example of a very early Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in October of 1942. It has no letter suffix. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 88" military proofs. It has retained about 95% of its original finish. There is minor thinning and patina on the front strap. Minor wear on the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. Spotty oxidation here and there on the slide. It has the proper Walther grips - Walther was contracted to make these early Spreewerk grips. Also comes with the proper magazine. Mint bore. De-cocker is functional. The slide has trouble locking back, likely because there is a lot of thick grease in the internals. Will likely improve with a good cleaning.Specifications
