Description
10/2/26 - This is a very nice example of a wartime commercial Mauser C96, chambered in 7.63 Mauser. Every numbered part matches, and it is properly "Double Crown U" proofed. It comes as a rig with its original matching-numbered wood stock - there are two cracks along the top edge. The original finish rates about 90%, with general high edge wear, a small area of wear on the underside of the barrel, and minor muzzle wear. There is light spotty oxidation on both sides and the front edge of the frame, with thinning and oxidation on the grip straps. Fitted with excellent matching-numbered wood grips. The bore has a slight bulge in the barrel just in front of where the barrel meets the frame. Otherwise, the bore is minty. We would not recommend firing until having it examined by a gunsmith. A desirable stocked Broomhandle with matching numbers throughout.
