Description
11/3/26 - For sale is a WWII German Army long dress bayonet made by WKC of Solingen, complete with its scabbard, leather frog, and troddel. Dress bayonets like this one were privately purchased by German soldiers to wear with the walking-out uniform, and they were made in short and long lengths. This bayonet has the long, nickel plated blade with fullers, a nickel plated pommel and cross guard, and black checkered grips held by two rivets. The blade is marked with the WKC knight's head trademark. It comes with its black painted steel scabbard, a black leather frog, and a Heer troddel (bayonet knot) with colored rings and crown. The blade is bright overall, with an area of frosting on the left side of the blade and a few small spots near the guard. The nickel fittings and grips are in very nice condition, and the scabbard retains most of its black paint. The leather frog shows wear and some surface staining from the scabbard, and the troddel shows light age toning. A complete, attractive WKC dress bayonet setup.
