10/31/24 - This is a good example of a battlefield relic SS helmet from WW2. Given that this is a battlefield relic, this helmet does have a decent amount of oxidation as well as holes that are a result of this oxidation. This helmet is a German M35 pattern helmet with Pocher style SS runes, which are correct for M35 helmets. Pocher decals are often found on M35 helmets, which is correct for this particular helmet. This helmet comes with a letter of Authenticity from Kelly Hicks of SS Steel. This helmet is believed to have been recovered after the war from a battlefield in Russia. The Russian (Eastern) Front was a bitterly fought theater of WW2 and saw the Axis powers face off against the Soviet Union and other Allies.
