6/14/22 - This is a very nice example of a scarce Enfield No 4 Mk 1* made by Savage in 1944. These guns were manufactured in the US during WW2 to assist England as a part of the Lend-Lease Program between England and the US. These guns are "US Property" marked and have US military flaming bomb and "P" proofs. The small parts are marked with a Savage "block S". This one is all matching and has all of the proper markings. There is minor scratchy and spotty wear around the muzzle, on the front barrel band, on the bolt handle, on the receiver, and on the magazine. The stock is nice, but there are minor scuffs and scratches throughout. Faint numbering on the right side of the butt stock. It looks like there was a wood repair on the upper edge of the butt stock. Excellent, shiny bore.
