Description

6/8/22 - This is a very nice example of a BYF 44 Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It is all matching and has the proper "Waffen 135" military acceptance proofs throughout. It has retained about 90% of its original finish. The majority of the finish loss is on the front strap, but there is also very minor wear on the front edges of the slide and around the muzzle. Some tiny dots of oxidation under the finish here and there. Comes with nice bakelite grips and a period-correct "jvd" magazine. The initials "AE" are lightly scratched into the left grip panel and the tube of the magazine. The bore has strong rifling with minor frosting in the grooves. De-cocker is functional.
