Description

7/5/22 - This is an excellent example of a BYF 44 Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It is all matching and has the proper "Waffen 135" military acceptance proofs throughout. It has retained about 96-97% of its original bluing. There is some minor thinning and light brown patina on the front grip strap and top plate. Very minor wear around the muzzle, along the barrel, and around the high edges of the slide. While there is very little actual finish loss, there are areas with tiny dots of oxidation, most noticeable along the whole right side of the slide. Comes with excellent reddish bakelite grips and a period-correct "P.38v" magazine. The bore has good rifling, but there is minor pin-pricking throughout. De-cocker is functional.
