Description
12/19/22 - This is a nice example of a Springfield Model 1903 Mark I Rifle. The receiver dates to 1919. The barrel is Springfield Arsenal marked and dated November of 1944, so it was likely re-worked for WW2. The bolt is "BF" marked. The floor plate has a "B" marking. The left side of the stock has a very faint cross-canon cartouche and an "RLB" inspection proof. The gun is also fitted with a nice Lyman adjustable rear sight. It has retained about 95% of its finish. There is minor muzzle wear, minor wear on the barrel bands, and some very minor wear around the high edges in general. Some discoloration on the front barrel band. The stock has bruising and scratching throughout with a few more noticeable gouges on the right side. Mint bore.Specifications
