Description
3/27/23 - This is a very nice example of a scarce AC 45 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1945. What makes this one scarce is the capital "A" suffix on the frame and locking block. Only about 5,000 guns feature this oddity. It is believed that, for a short period of time in 1945, the lower case "a" die was broken or unavailable, so the Walther factory was forced to use the capital "A". This one is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" military acceptance proofs throughout. It has retained about 90-92% of its original finish. The frame has a plum tint to it. Virtually all of the finish loss is on the front strap, so the profile views are minty. A few very light scuffs on the slide. Fitted with excellent reddish bakelite grips. Comes with a period-correct jvd magazine. Mint bore. De-cocker is functional.Specifications
