7/25/25 - This is a World War II era Stevens model 416 training rifle. This gun was part of a 10,000 rifle contract that the United States military ordered for use in basic firearms training. It is marked U.S. PROPERTY and also shows the flaming bomb on the receiver. The stock is in very good condition and is un-marked. It may have been a replacement stock from sometime in the past. The rear sling swivel is missing. The receiver and metal are in great condition, with minor finish loss on the receiver and barrel. Top of the receiver is taped for a scope mounts. The rifle includes one 5 round magazine. The rifle is also missing its rear aperture sight and only has a front sight.
