8/15/25 - This is a World War II era Stevens Model 416 training rifle. This gun was part of a 10,000 rifle contract that the United States military ordered for use in basic firearms training. It is marked U.S. PROPERTY and also shows the flaming bomb on the receiver. The stock is in very good condition and is un-marked. The receiver and metal are in good condition, with finish loss and patina throughout and rates about 80%. It still shows very well. It features a rear, precision peep sight a front covered peep sight as well. Top of the receiver and barrel are fitted with scope mounts. The rifle includes one 5 round magazine, however, the magazine is somewhat tight but it is functional.
