Description
10/13/26 - This is a Brazilian-contract Smith & Wesson Model 1937 revolver, chambered in .45 ACP. Approximately 25,000 Model 1917s were made for the Brazilian government, each stamped with the Brazilian crest on the sideplate and the date "1937." This one is all matching and has retained about 75-80% of its original finish. There are areas of spotty wear on most of the gun, concentrated mostly along the barrel, on the cylinder, and on both sides of the frame, as well as areas of noticeable pin-pricking/dulling on both sides of the frame, on the barrel, and on the grip straps. Fitted with period-correct checkered wood grips that show noticeable bruising and wear. A solid example of this interesting S&W foreign contract. The bore has strong rifling with very light pin-pricking throughout.
