Description
10/7/26 - This is a Colt Model 1911A1 sold to the public through the CMP Program. The frame is a rare, early frame manufactured in 1937, fitted with a Colt slide and a later replacement barrel. It comes with its CMP hard case, gun lock, manual, and CMP certificate of authenticity. The gun wears an arsenal-applied parkerized finish that rates about 95%, with just minor thinning on the front strap, general high edge wear, and a few light scratches and scuffs here and there. Fitted with period-correct red plastic grips and comes with a modern Mec-Gar magazine. Very nice bore with great rifling. A rare pre-war Colt frame that is seldom seen on a CMP 1911A1.
