Description
11/4/26 - This is a cased U.S. Meritorious Service Medal. Established in 1969, the Meritorious Service Medal is awarded to members of the U.S. armed forces for outstanding meritorious achievement or service, and is often presented to senior non-commissioned officers and officers at the end of a tour or upon retirement. The bronze medal features an eagle with outswept wings standing on laurel branches in front of a six-pointed star, and hangs from the crimson and white ribbon. It comes in its blue presentation case marked "United States of America" on the lid, along with the matching ribbon bar. The medal is still under its clear protective dome. The lapel pin slot in the case is empty. The medal and ribbon remain in excellent shape, and the case shows light handling wear. A nice, cased Meritorious Service Medal with its ribbon bar.
