Description
10/29/24 - For sale is a German Danzig Model 1888/95 Commission rifle that was supplied to Ottoman / Turkish forces as aid during WW1. The rifle is well worn but no major pitting or corrosion. The receiver is bare metal with patina and scratches from use. The barrel jacket is dark and browned with age and patina. The bore is fairly bright but is becoming darker. The stock is in good condition with no cracks or breaks. The rifle is mismatched throughout and there is a Turkish Crescent stamp on the barrel at where it meets the receiver. The bolt handle had been bent down by a previous owner.Specifications
