06/13/2024 - For sale is an Imperial German Gew 98 rifle made by JP Sauer & Suhl in 1916. This rifle overall is in 97% condition. The receiver is mostly still in the white with some patina and the brightness is dulling due to age. The barrel and rear sight have a very nice deep bluing. The magazine and trigger guard have spots of oxidation but a lot of the bluing remain. The stock is also in great condition with marks from handling and use but the stamps are still clean and visible. The rifle is all matching throughout down to the action screws and cleaning rod. The bolt release lever still has a nice firebluing visible. The bore is nice and bright with great rifling. There is a duffle cut under the rear barrel band.
