03/12/2024 - For sale is a clean Vetterli-Carcano Model 1870/87/15 chambered in 6.5 Carcano that was originally made in 1890. This model is the upgraded variant of the Vetterli rifles purchased by the Italians from blackpowder to smokeless powder. These were issued as rear line troop rifles while standard Carcano rifles were issued to the frontlines during WW1 and WW2. The rifle is clean overall and the metal has patina throughout. The wood furniture is free of cracks or damage but has handling marks. The stock and the receiver match. The bore is fairly clean with good rifling and some light shines through. Disclaimer: These Vetterli-Carcano are not safe to shoot full power 6.5 Carcano.
