Description

7/11/24 - This is an excellent, unissued condition tropical German Army Side Cap from the Deutsches Afrikakorps. The cotton exterior is excellent and clean. Each side has a zinc ventilation hole, with the right side missing the golden tan colored painted finish. The insignia is machine woven with a light blue colored eagle over a tropical tan background. The cockade has vibrant colors and all stitching throughout is excellent. The red interior cloth lining is crisp and clean with well marked ink stamps, including a RBNr. distribution stamp, 43 date stamp, and size of 56. An excellent example.
