11/30/23 - This is a rare Colt Model 1903 that was issued to the U.S. military during WW2 and later presented to Brigadier General William C. Doyle. Doyle has a veteran's memorial and cemetery dedicated under his name in New Jersey. The pistol was shipped in1944 to Springfield Armory, one of only ~7,000 such examples. It has about 97% of the parkerized finish remaining, with wear around the muzzle and rear edges of the slide. Minty bore and excellent grips. The listing includes the certificate of ownership from Doyle that was given by the Department of the Army.Specifications
