Description
8/9/21 - This is a rare Colt M1903 that was made in 1917 and was part of a contract order by the Belgian government, as indicated by the diamond 'A' proof mark on left side of frame. During World War I, Colt made 24,000 Model 1903 pistols to supply the Belgian government. They saw heavy use and had a low survival rate, especially in collectible condition. This one doesn't have much actual bluing loss, mostly on the high edges of the slide, but there is also some visible oxidation throughout. Excellent original grips and correct two-tone magazine. Bore is shiny with strong rifling but there is a bulge right near the muzzle end of it. The barrels are unmarked and easily replaceable though if the buyer wishes to shoot this one.Specifications
