Description
06/19/26 - This is an excellent example of the super rare Walther Model 6, one of only 1,000 produced. The Model 6 was an attempt by Walther to develop a service pistol for the armed forces in the standard military caliber of 9mm Luger. The design was refused due to weak mechanics, so very few were ever military accepted. Some officers did buy their own model 6 on the commercial market, and carried them as their service pistol. "Germany" export marking on the left side of the slide. This particular example is all original and has about 97% of the original blue remaining. There's high edge wear on both sides of the slide and scattered handling marks and minor dings along the slide as well. Some dots of wear on the front grip strap. Fitted with correct and original horn grips have minor handling wear but no cracks. There's a minor surface chip on the left panel. There are a couple of small bore holes on the right side (typical). Rare, original magazine is included and in fantastic condition. Bore is shiny with sharp rifling and just a little frost. Comes with an original owner's manual, also very rare. From the collection of Thomas Whiteman.
