Description
11/5/21 - This is a very early Mauser C96 Broomhandle, made in 1897, with the original, matching stock. Only about 14,000 guns were made with early features, including a cone shaped hammer that gave the gun its nickname. Chambered in a potent 7.63 Mauser caliber, these guns had ballistics comparable to light carbines, and could function as such when equipped with a detachable shoulder stock. They became especially popular with British officers, including Winston Churchill, and were used extensively in Boer wars. This particular gun has about 75-80% of the original blue, with notable wear on barrel and grip frame, but some thinning throughout. It has the original, matching numbered grips and they're in excellent condition. Bore has decent rifling but notable frost and freckling throughout. Stock is also matching numbered to the pistol and in excellent condition, but it does have a professionally repaired crack in it. Antique so no licensing required.Specifications
