Description

2/18/26- For sale is an L.F.&C. 1918 trench knife. These trench knives are famous symbols of WWI, even though many of the 1918 models did not make it to the trenches before the fighting stopped. The is still partly blued but has significant wear and loss of bluing. There is no evidence of recent sharpening but the blade still maintains a decent edge and point. The handle is cast brass with the text "U.S. 1918 L.F.&C. - 1918" cast into the handle. There is some patina to the brass handle but no serious damage. The pommel lug has some patina and looks appropriately aged. The scabbard maintains most of its original finish with only one or two small dents along the edges. The belt hooks are intact and functional. The scabbard is properly marked with the "L.F.&C. 1918" text. Overall in excellent condition.
