Description

02/24/26 - For sale is a French Mle 16 Berhtier Carbine made by Tulle in 1925. The barrel is dated 1925 made by Chatellerault. The receiver and barrel have a nicely aged bluing with a slight fading grey and patina. The stock has been sanded. and ther ear ea couple of arsenal repairs. The larger repairs are at the comb where it meets the buttplate, one between the nose cap and barrel band on the left side. There is a hairline 1/2" crack in front of the recoil lug on the left side, and a 1/4" crack behind the tang. The bore is bright with strong rifling, but a couple of pricks of surface pitting near the muzzle. The rifle has matching numbers on the barrel, bolt, bolt head, stock, and trigger guard.
